Matthew Tenenbaum Artist Research assignment The artist I chose for my research assignment is Jim Campbell. He was born in 1956 in Chicago Illinois and now works based in San Fransisco. He best known for LED light works. With a background in film most of his installations combine film, sound and mainly LED lights. The reason I chose to research Jim Campbell is because after searching for an artist I was astonished by some of his work. He really caught my attention with his use of lights. Not only does he work on installations for public spaces but he also does installations that are used in live performances. He has a great feeling for the use of LED lights to create emotion. Many of his works are still standing today all over the world from 30 foot installed sculptures to different smaller scale projects. As of now i have finalized my idea. I will be constructing my video based off the process of me making music. I will be shooting my clips through a combination of the Iphone X and the cannon T3I. I was thinking that each video will be a different aspect of what goes into making a song. I will be shooting this weekend to finalize everything. I was planning on getting clips of myself as well as a first person POV of what i am seeing throughout my process. There is a lot that goes into it and i think the audience will be very surprised to see that.

For project 1 i am torn between three different ideas for content to use. I am between using videos/clips of the process of me making music. I have clips of me in the studio working on different projects. Also take new clips. Using bright colors, etc. Clips of my dogs. I have 2 dogs at the moment that i love and adore and have great videos of them doing silly things.  I also can use videos from my fitness lifestyle which can be cool as well. I will be using the Iphone X to record video. Lights My own music I will be constructing the video on Final Cut Pro.

My full name is Matthew Scott Tenenbaum and I am in my senior year of college as a new media production major. I was born on August 10th 1997. I am from Long Island New York and work as a personal trainer/ audio engineer/recording artist. I have done part time work for Atlantic records as an A&R. I belong to Theta Chi Fraternity at UT and came here mostly because of the warm weather. I enjoy helping others and always willing to learn/try new things. I have been in many situations from which I have gained experience that has helped me out a great deal in life. I am a very hard worker and learn quickly when given assistance. As I continue my journey towards graduating from the University of Tampa I hope to keep achieving the goals I set for myself. I will always strive to be the best version of myself even if that means making sacrifices when necessary.
