Progress Post 1

As of now i have finalized my idea. I will be constructing my video based off the process of me making music. I will be shooting my clips through a combination of the Iphone X and the cannon T3I. I was thinking that each video will be a different aspect of what goes into making a song. I will be shooting this weekend to finalize everything. I was planning on getting clips of myself as well as a first person POV of what i am seeing throughout my process. There is a lot that goes into it and i think the audience will be very surprised to see that.

Artist Research Assignment "Jim Campbell"

Matthew Tenenbaum Artist Research assignment The artist I chose for my research assignment is Jim Campbell. He was born in 1956 in Chicago Illinois and now works based in San Fransisco. He best known for LED light works. With a background in film most of his installations combine film, sound and mainly LED lights. The reason I chose to research Jim Campbell is because after searching for an artist I was astonished by some of his work. He really caught my attention with his use of lights. Not only does he work on installations for public spaces but he also does installations that are used in live performances. He has a great feeling for the use of LED lights to create emotion. Many of his works are still standing today all over the world from 30 foot installed sculptures to different smaller scale projects. Final Project

I wanted to create a simulation of some sort. I decided that a car would be the best bet because the film for it was realistic. I thought it would be really cool to actually build the space in which the simulation was being projected in. For the most part i think i accomplished my goal with this final project. The construction of my car could've gone a little better than anticipated but for the most part i think i did a decent job. I wanted the simplicity of a drive in the projection, not something crazy. It's important to enjoy the little things in life such as driving down the road in beautiful sunny Florida.
