Artist Research 3

Yayoi Kusama While looking for an artist to research i was immediately drawn to Yayoi Kusama because of her use of vibrant colors and immersive works of art. Growing up she had a mental illness which in cases made her hallucinate so she was able to use that in the creation of her art. Being a Japanese artist, the use of some traditional inspired works is used in her art. Kusama views her most recent works of art as diary entries and if it wasn't for polka dots saving her life she would have killed herself. Spending 37 years of your life in a mental institution can take a toll on you. What i find so facinating about her work is that she immerses herself in it with matching clothes. Artist Statement

I aint got no F******** time to waste- before i fly away This song is about how i have so much stuff to do in this short period of time i have called life in order to fulfill my purpose. This is my life; seeing music in color, working endless hours to create compositions and teaming up with other artists in order to see my visions come to life. The videos are of the different process i go through when making a song. I have a video of me playing the keyboard to make a beat, editing and layering the sounds together from the melody and the drums/bass/kicks. Then i have different clips of me recording and singing on the microphone whether it be the actual lyrics or just figuring out what to put where. Most recently i haven't been writing anything when creating a song i just get in the booth and sing along with the beat until i find something i feel sounds good. Then i will record accordingly and edit the vocals. I recorded the videos using the Iphone X and used final cut pro to put...

Project 2 Proposal

My idea for project 2 is doing something that involves dogs. Everybody loves dogs and i think it would be cool to have different dog breeds interacting with each other. The reason for this idea is because different dog breeds can live together in harmony and get along; why cant people. (Eliminate racism/inequality) I was thinking of using different items of clothing/bedsheets to hang to be projected on. Can also use bags of food, dog bowls, leashes, etc.
